Fall and Winter 2017-18

Fall - Two hurricanes and evacuation to the Brunswick I-95 Sleep Inn and Suites with Paula. No power, but we could charge our phones in our cars. Millstone and Waffle House were the only two places nearby with generators so we got a break from our cold snack diet. Surprisingly the best St Simons Island damage information was procured from Facebook. We got back on the island as soon as they opened the causeway. Except for a lot of yard trash, there was no damage to my house. Paula had a few trees down but no real house damage.

September "the girls" went to Lake Hartwell for our second annual boating and floating weekend.

In October I went to Cartersville GA with Paula to help babysit her two entertaining grandkids. Paula and I did museum/history visits while the kids were in school. On Saturday we braved their school fair. Sunday was apple picking!

Mid October I headed up to NY/VT to see Zac and family. I would be designated a "Leaf Peeper" - and they were worth peeping at.
