Spring and Summer 2019 - Cliff Notes Version

Beginning of the year had some repeating events such as our famous yearly WestMarigold Dog Parade with about 60 canine contestents accompanied by their colorful owners.

To add to our February fun, Zac flew home to help celebrate Josie's big 40 Birthday party. Josie was like Zac's little sister and they did all sorts of activities together.

In February, "The Gutting of the Kitchen" began. It was long overdue - last remodel was in the 80's as you can tell by the decor.

Before

I made my choices of cabinets, tiles, colors and appliances and in May the destruction began.

After

In April I took a quick trip to Vermont/NY to see Zac and company. Then back to Georgia where the summer (as in temp-wise) began

In May we had a girls weekend at Maria's new house in Fernandina. Wow, is about all you can say. House is beautiful, location and scenery were spectacular, and the little clever added house amenities were so much fun to learn about.

Right Next Door !

hot tub, fire pit, pool and a view - what more could you ask for.

It's Official Penny got her doctorate! We will take her parents and sister to her Kansas State graduation this December when they visit the US. Another reason to celebrate is that Penny got a job at Purdue University as a counselor.

There was another Indian wedding at our Jekyll Island Convention Center. I love working them. They are so rich with colors, scents and sounds.

Summer time -- time for Salem NY, Zac and family !
Margie came with me for the first week. We went to Bennington's outdoor art show, took a glass blowing class and visited Margie's home town of Skeneateles and walked to the top of Cary Hill!

We took a 3 day glass blowing course with Fox - This was my second time and boy did I need the repeat course. Margie did great even with some hilarious mistakes.

Our stay at Eric's house (Margie's cousin) on Skeneateles Lake. A couple of nice boat rides and good conversation and food.

The rest of the summer I picked blueberries, took Gator to the Saratoga Race Track, watched the artists work, and helped Katrina and Zac with little jobs in the house that they are selling. They have moved into an "Off the Grid" solar house on top of a hill. Wood burning stove, propane appliances, and a beautiful and peaceful location.
